Presbyterian Church of Ghana Bids Moderator Farewell
Presbyterians from all over the country attended a special thanksgiving, and send-off service on Sunday 25th November 2018 to bid farewell to the out-going Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Right Rev Professor Cephas Narh Omenyo.

The service was held at the Grace Congregation of the PCG at Westland, Legon in Accra where the out-going Moderator served as Minister-In-Charge.

Right Rev Professor Omenyo was elected Moderator of the General Assembly of the PCG in August 2016 at Abetifi Kwahu during the 16th General Assembly, and was inducted into office on Sunday 4th December 2016.

Unfortunately, the Moderator fell sick in May 2017 during his first official visit to the Europe Presbytery of the PCG to ordain some Ministerial Probationers in London.

Preaching the sermon at the well-attended service, Rev Professor B.Y Quarshie, Rector of the Akrofi-Christaller Institute, Akropong Akuapem described the out-going Moderator as a visionary leader who outlined a number of plans to move the Church forward, but God in His own wisdom decided to allow the moderator to work for only five months instead of the five years mandate given.

He urged all Christians to continue to pray for the Moderator for total recovery.

Present at the service were General Assembly Council members, former principal officers of the Church, Ministers, Church Members, family members and friends.
